GAM projects in 2024

In 2024, GAM asbl will support seven projects on three continents: Africa (Kenya), Asia (Cambodia), Latin America (Colombia and Bolivia). Here they are:

1) Construction of a greenhouse and production of vegetable and ornamental plants (Medellín, Colombia). Budget: €4,230 (GAM asbl: €3,384). Direct beneficiaries: 17 people.

2) Refurbishment and equipping of the multifunctional hall in El Queremal (Cali, Colombia). Budget: €6,400 (GAM asbl: €4,565). Direct beneficiaries: 700 people.

3) Empowerment workshops for Samburu women, 2nd phase (Lodoung'okwe, Kenya). Budget:
€4,380 (GAM asbl: €3,500). Direct beneficiaries: 223 Samburu women.

4) Literacy and training programme for out-of- school children from 3 to 15 years of age (Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia). Budget: €11,785 (GAM asbl : €5,000). Direct beneficiaries: 30 children.

5) Reforestation project, 2nd phase (Cotagaita, Potosí; Bolivia). Budget: €1,681 (GAM asbl: €1,149). Direct beneficiaries: 45 farmers.

6) Construcción y equipamiento de una sala múltiple (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia). Budget:
€28,584 (GAM asbl: €4,000). Direct beneficiaries: 100 people.

​7) Training sessions on organic and ecological agriculture (Nairobi, Kenya). Budget: €5,770 (GAM asbl: €3,500). Direct beneficiaries: 30 women and 30 young people..

New for 2024, GAM asbl has launched a school sponsorship campaign for 30 Cambodian children, as part of GAM's literacy and education programme in Cambodia, in order to cover all their costs.
