Provision for the training center built in the district of Abobo Avoctier (Abidjan)

  • Location: Abidjan
  • Year: 2011-2012
  • Objectives:
    • This project aims to equip six classrooms built on a land belonging to the parish of Our Lady of Cana. Thanks to GAM and the help of a Spanish benefactor, the project "Construction of training centers, Ivory Coast (2010)" was satisfactorily concluded.
    • "Abobo, Avocatier" is a neighborhood where French is generally spoken and where poverty is properly installed. People living in this neighborhood consist mostly of women engaged in commercial activities, who can not read or write.
Due to this problem, literacy courses are increasing day by day, but unfortunately they don’t have the necessary infrastructures to meet such demand.

Construction of training centers

  • Location: Abidjan
  • Year: 2010

    • Construction of four rooms for all kinds of trainings in the district of Abobo Avocatier in Abidjan, an area affected by unemployment, prostitution and illiteracy.
    • Strengthen human promotion based on education, health, the promotion of justice and peace; hence the idea of making a project to build rooms to receive candidates for education and to remove youth from the street and nightclubs by teaching them a skill.
    • Develop synergy with other stakeholders (NGOs, bilateral or international donors, etc.) while keeping awareness awakening as goal.
