7th GAM ASBL meeting with the partners from the South

​The initiative to bring our partners from the South together virtually started on 19 October 2021. The aim is to learn from each other, share the experience of working in the field and receive support from GAM asbl volunteers for the development of the projects.  

Initially there were fewer of us than at the meeting on 23 May 2025, where GAM representatives from Bolivia, Ecuador, Kenya and Cambodia presented the progress of GAM 2025 projects to date. We would like to highlight the Parkati project in Kenya, where a very remote and difficult to access population managed to complete the project in record time. It is a multi-purpose hall that will change the life of the community.

The biggest problem facing the project in Cambodia is the absenteeism of the pupils supported by the GAM asbl project. The cause of this absenteeism is related to family breakdown, poverty and lack of interest of the children's parents. Nevertheless, we continue to support the project because we strongly believe that education and training are essential for the future development of communities.

The other five GAM 2025 projects are on track.

The next meeting with our partners from the South will take place in October 2025, when we will receive the new project proposals for 2026.

Awareness day for GAM ASBL projects at the European School in Woluwé FOOTFEST 2025

​GAM asbl was one of the 10 non-profit associations chosen by the Parents' Association of the European School of Woluwe to participate in the FOOTFEST 2025.

Students, teachers and parents participated in various educational and cultural activities on 16 May. Part of the funds raised will go to support a project of the participating associations.

​GAM thanks the EEB2 APEEE for their invitation and support to our association. 

GAM 2025 Barbecue

The traditional GAM 2025 BBQ will take place from 12:00 to 17:00 on 14 June at Le Cercle (rue Doyen Boone 6, 1040 Etterbeek). This is one of the three major events organised by GAM asbl to raise funds for the 2026 projects.
