9th GAM humanitarian trip, destination: Cambodia

In August 2025, a group of 12 GAM volunteers will leave for Cambodia, where they will visit GAM's project for the literacy and education of Cambodian children aged 3-15 years. We are currently developing the programme with our volunteers and in collaboration with GAM representatives in Cambodia.

This is the first time that GAM volunteers travel to Asia, and in this case it will be to visit a project that started three years ago and continues to develop thanks to the efforts of the association, whose volunteers and benefactors support it intensely from Brussels, but also thanks to the great work done in Kampong Chhnang by GAM representatives, both with schoolchildren and their families.

The programme of our volunteers includes several meetings with all of them, both with the children and their families. It is undoubtedly a long journey, which will take place at a very hot and humid time of the year, but this has not prevented these 12 people from organising a humanitarian trip that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on their hearts. We will be following their experiences in Cambodia closely.

Presentation of GAM projects to calls and tenders

During these months, we take the opportunity to prepare and submit proposals to various public and/or private calls for proposals that help us to provide more funding for GAM's projects.

The fact is that the implementation of our projects requires a financial effort that does not only come from the funds we raise through the organisation of our events, nor from the contributions resulting from the immense generosity of our benefactors and volunteers. The number of projects that GAM currently has underway and its eagerness to reach an ever-increasing number of beneficiaries requires us to resort to public and private funding to provide the necessary impetus so that the association can implement all its planned projects and reach all the beneficiaries to whom it has committed itself.

Our project management team is constantly on the lookout for calls for proposals in which GAM's profile and type of projects may fit.
