NEW PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR 2022

We have received two new project proposals from our partners from the South to be implemented in 2022.
The first project aims to carry out a "Drilling for drinking water to supply the population of Kounahiri", in Ivory Coast. The objective of the second project is to "Equip and refurbish the community hall in Lodung'okwe", in Kenya.
Both proposals are currently being evaluated by GAM, in order to ensure that they comply with the objectives and strategy of our association.
Together with the 3rd phase of the "Samburu Women's Literacy Programme" in Kenya, there are currently three GAM projects planned for 2022.

NEW DATE FOR "TAPAS Y ALEGRÍA"

​The 3rd GAM event has been definitively postponed to 19 March 2022.

BBQ GAM 2021

Finally, as a precaution, it was decided to cancel the GAM Barbecue 2021.
​We hope to be able to celebrate the next GAM Barbecue together in June 2022!

1st Meeting with our Partners from the South
​

​The first (virtual) meeting with our partners from the South will take place on 19 October 2021, with the aim of consolidating North-South links, coordinating GAM asbl projects more effectively and jointly exploring new lines of support that will enable us to be more effective and provide more appropriate solutions to the problems of the most vulnerable in the different areas where we work.

107th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
​

The WDMR has been celebrated since 1914.
It is always an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to support them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
This year, the title chosen was " Towards an ever wider “we”".
​GAM, through its sustainable projects, supports the reality of these vulnerable populations by providing training, building structures, creating employment and empowering especially women, to prevent illegal migration that destroys families, the economy and social balance.
